About Us

Christies Beach Medical Centre is a large group general practice located in Christies Beach, a seaside suburb approximately 35 kilometres south of Adelaide. The practice was established in 1964. It is open six days a week – Mon to Fri 8.00am to 6.00pm and Sat 8.00am to 1.00pm and sees approximately 2,500 during this time.

Practice with up to 11 doctors working at various times. Four partners, four associates, eight nurses and six receptionists, as well as registrars and students. Over 40,000 patient records on file. Active teaching practice. Well backed up by extensive support staff consisting of practice manager, accounts manager, practice nurses and receptionists.

The doctors provide a comprehensive range of family medical services which include minor surgical removals of skin cancers, women’s health, ECG, spirometry, slit lamp, cryotherapy, diathermy, soft tissue laser treatment, ambulatory blood pressure machine, ABI doppler machine, ear syringe and suction, health assessments, care plans and diabetes care.

Patient health records at the practice are computerised using Best Practice. The billing and appointments systems are also computerised.

Home visits can be arranged however your problems may be resolved sooner and more efficiently if you can attend the surgery.

Christies Beach Medical Centre has no in-house specialists or allied health but we have good relationships with local providers and can offer referrals.
